Ladsaf |
|

The LADSAF ® is specifically designed to provide safety protection for those climbing and working on fixed ladder like climbing surfaces attached to a structure e.g. water tanks, mono poles, buildings, manways and towers.
The LADSAF ® is constructed to provide easy installation on a variety of ladder structures, and essentially comprises a tensioned steel cable that runs the length of the climbing area, allowing uninterrupted climbing and descending, and hands free operation where necessary. Attached by a safety chuck, the climber can ascend or descend with ease whilst the cable is released from intermediate brackets as he/she passes by, before springing back to place.

The LADSAF ® system utilises 9.5mm 7 strand extra high strength solid core cable and is available in galvanised or stainless steel. Attached by a top bracket measuring 1600 mm in length and housing an elastomeric attenuator to absorb system shock loading, the cable runs down the length of the ladder through a series of intermediate brackets (each weighing 0,23 Kg.) that hold the cable in position.
The cable is held in place at the base of the ladder by a Bottom Bracket that is 38mm square, and an overall length of 482 mm. The total weight inclusive of the cable grip is 2.95 Kg.
With the Safety Sleeve Model P-L3330 the housing is manufactured from high stregth 17-4-PH stainless steel with rollers made from UV resistant nylon.

Ladder System
It is perhaps not surprising that RAILOK ® is considered the industry´s leading vertical fall protection system using rail sections fixed directly to a ladder. The user remains permanently attached to the system, leaving both hands free to undertake the work required.
A trolley device, onto which the safety harness is attached, slides up and down the rail as the climber ascends and descends. For free running the outer arms of the trolley incline upwards at around 10° angle. Should the arms fall below this angle and reach horizontal (as in a fall situation) the brake pads immediately come into contact with the front face of the rail and lock the trolley.
The RAILOK ® Trolley comes complete with an Energy Dissipating Unit (EDU) to absorb the adverse physical effects from Fall Arrest, and features a self locking hook. Constructed either from light alloy aluminium and zinc plated steel or stainless steel, the trolley device operates as a fully articulated mechanism.
The rail of extruded aluminium or stainless steel comes in 10 ft. ( 3048 mm.) sections held together by joint plates secured by 4 bolts, and locking nuts fitting into the "top hat" section of the rails end. Easy to install, this ensures that the trolley will run smoothly.
There is a wide range of Clip Assemblies available, suitable to fit most rungs or stringers. The clips supplied in either anodised aluminium or stainless steel are spaced at approximately 1 metre intervals, but irregular rung spacing can be accommodated.

Sayfclimb |
|

Many structures, such as towers and chimneys, need infrequent maintenance. When it needs to be done, however, workers can be at dangerous heights for days or weeks. Traditionally, the cost of installing and annually testing permanent, vertical height safety systems has been prohibitive. Sayfclimb is a brand new solution to this problem.

Fully portable unit |
| - |
Installed in 30 minutes or less |
| - |
Requires no annual site inspection |
| - |
Suitable for up to 4 workers |
| - |
Uses proven Ladsaf technology |
| - |
On transmission towers, Sayfclimb brackets fit behind existing step bolts |

Temporary systems |
|
For some projects, a permanent system isn't necessary - and Sala offers a range of temporary systems for situations where height safety is only needed for a short period of time. Based on the proven technology of our fixed, engineered systems, we manufacture a variety of rope grabs and chucks that provide safety to workers via horizontal and vertical ropes. All systems are designed to be installed quickly and easily, and to provide a high level of fall protection.
Overview: Temporary systems
